Move over Chinese, this monsoon satiate your taste-buds with a range of authentic and fusion Bengali dishes. Chilekotha in Gariahat is hosting a fortnight-long food fest where they have laid out sumptuous Bengali cuisine curated by city-based food connoisseurs Madhushree and Debjani.
The menu includes three thalis - veg, non-veg and a hilsa palate (monsoon it is!). Start off with shukto, motor dal, alu bhaja or roshgollar dalna followed by macher dimer torkari, murgir dom, chingrir sambol and many more. Don't miss the ilish platter that includes ilish shukto, ilish lotpoti, lau ilish paturi and ilish mathar tok. For some sweet endings there's daab rasamalai and son papdi mishti doi cheese cake.
