Chikoo Festival is a annual soiree that happens at Dahanu-Bordi each year, inviting locals and tourists to come and experience the festival. In it sixth edition, it is being held over the long weekend {January 27-28}. Organised by MTDC, it aims to promote tourism in the area. Since chikoo the fruit is indigenous to the area. it only makes sense.
Chikoo Safari, Seafood & A Lot More At This Festival By The Beach
What Is It?
Who Is It For?
Anyone who wants to take a short but productive trip out of the city.
Why Should I Go For It?
Apart from chikoo plucking, there’ll be activities such as chikoo safari, visit to chikoo farms and a chikoo winery, learning to make dishes with chikoo and much more. The entry to the festival is free so all you need to do is take a train to Dahanu and chill. There’ll be a market to shop from and performances to enjoy too!
So, We're Saying...
This sounds like a lot of fun, especially if you do not have plans for the long weekend.
