Shortcut

Guys, we can now take a one-of-a-kind power glider ride {the only one in India} at Aamby Valley in Lonavala and get a panoramic view of the Sahyadris. Isn’t this just the best thing you’ve heard in a long, long time?

Say Whaaat?

Mountains call you back, they say. But this is generally said about the mighty Himalayas or the Alps, where the beauty and sheer size of them will win over the most hard-to-please lads. Closer home are our very own Sahyadris that are no less beautiful, of course, if you see them how the birds do- from above.

Aamby Valley has initiated a first-of-its-kind sightseeing tour that takes you 5,000ft above the sea level, over the Sahyadri ranges around Lonavala to give you a bird’s eye view of the entire terrain. A specially chosen machine, a German-made power glider, offers a panoramic view of the beautiful terrain below while calmly gliding over the ranges. The aircraft takes off and lands from Aamby Valley’s private airfield and a 15-minute tour in the sky gives you a once-in-the-lifetime experience.

Spending INR 5,500 will give you a ticket to Goa in a commercial airliner, sure, but this will surely give you the experience of flying over such beautiful landscape, so calmly. And if you may wish, a chat with your own personal pilot {it’s a two-seater aircraft} will certainly wake up the aviation enthusiast in you.

For such an experience, you will have to pay just INR 5,500 from Monday to Thursday and INR 7,000 from Friday to Sunday. Trust us when we say this, every penny will be worth it.

For bookings, you can contact Viresh Jadhav on +91 9168205019. Be sure to book your slot a day prior. The glider rides are on from sunrise to sunset, but the advisable timings for these rides are 7am-9am and 5pm to 10 minutes before sunset {around 6:45pm}.

So, We're Saying...

It’s to fly high and we don’t think there’s any better way than this to bring out the aviation freak in you. You’re about to have an experience of a lifetime.
