Mumbai’s Ramzan food streets are as old as the city itself. Be it Nagpada, Jogeshwari, Kurla, Mohammed Ali Road or Bhendi Bazaar, every suburb has a lane that lights up like never before only during this auspicious month, attracting Mumbaikars from far and wide.
For centuries, the city has rushed to these gallis for their share of nalli-nihari, korma, bheja fry, kebabs and lots of biryani. These steaming biryani dishes are often curated from ancient recipes found in generation-old Mughlai restaurants, which have turned into landmarks with time.
This Ramzan, LBB in collaboration with Thums Up, is all set to visit Mumbai’s iconic Minara Masjid lane to savour the city’s oldest biryanis on 20th March. The century old Minara Masjid is surrounded by historic restaurants and we are bringing Thums Up Toofani Biryani Gully right there!
The special Ramzan food walk will include stops at Famous hotel, Marhaba hotel, Hindustan hotel and Sahil hotel, putting the spotlight on the delicious combination of Thums Up and biryani!
And that’s not all - famous actor Aamir Ali will be a part of this food laden walk along with heritage experts who will tell us all about the history of the area and the food.
