9 Things To Add To Your Room For A Rustic Makeover

What Did I Like?

I'm a typical decor-head with an obsession to not colour within the lines. I like order with chaos, hence my choices are always a mix of colour, pattern, and because I love to travel there's always some sort of free-spiritedness that reflects in the end. After moving to my parents' house in Delhi, agenda was to take the bore out of the abode. So, here's all the basic yet necessary changes I made to make a typical 'woman-cave' out of my prim & proper {boring} room. Soft Furnishing: I opted for cushions {https://amzn.to/2I5yagH}, each with a different design to keep the pattern versatile. The string curtains {https://amzn.to/2KMvgiG} do a great job of letting the tiny hearts show on a sunny day. The decal {https://amzn.to/2jHwaQY} on the window just adds texture to the otherwise boring panes. All of them have been bought online {Amazon- you'll be amazed by the gems you'll find after an hour of scrolling through basic stuff}. LED Light Message Box: When I'm not in the mood for warm lighting, I just switch on this message/light box {because some things need to be spelt out}. Looks brilliant, and just gives me a choice of waking up to whatever inspired me the previous day {#MondayMotivation}. Got this one from LBB Specials {https://bit.ly/2KMRfpM}. Lighting: I've always been fond of dim lights {mainly for the intricate shadows they cast}. The lamp {pictured} comes from Ghanchakkar Decor {https://bit.ly/2I69STM} and casts the perfect shadow {considering the metal work is intricate}. Indoor Plants: I got them both from S A Marble House at GK. They've literally added so much life to the room, it's the most you can do to be close to nature after an exhausting day of commute in the city. The Buddha miniature, and the swing: After throwing in the cushions, and the plants, I just felt I'm close to making my room look like a cafe in Pondicherry. Hence, an impulsive purchase at Kirti Nagar Furniture Market led me to set up this huge-ass swing chair {that my cats never let me sit on}, and that Buddha {https://bit.ly/2I83MSH}, that's on fire for 20 minutes every evening {enough detox for each day}. Dream catchers: The wind chimes of this decade. Nevertheless, they never disappoint {neither did wind chimes}. The monochrome dream catcher is from Ghanchakkar Decor. This time, monochrome came to break the monotony {of the multicoloured cushion}. The feather one comes from Wanderlust by Sahiba {https://bit.ly/2rsw0Re} and is just enough to soften the other bold elements.

What Could Be Better?

Just need more space to get a pool constructed {Pondicherry is waiting to happen}.

How Much Did It Cost?
