What Is It?

This famous South Indian band with the flavours of masala and coffee in music conjure up a scene where a group of musicians up the game with their alternative pop-folk-rock music. The young band, Masala Coffee, performed for the first time in the city as part of the Hyderabad Arts Festival. Now they are coming to Hyderabad to perform at Hylife Brewing Company on Friday, October 19, 2018, and the performance will begin at 8 pm, so watch out for them.

Besides a sound engineer, a manager, and Sooraj, the group comprises of eight musicians: Varun Sunil (vocals and percussion), Joe Jacob (drums), Paul Joseph (bass guitar), Preethi P. S. (guitar), Joe Johnson (keyboard), Krishna Raj (violin), and David Crimsons (guitars). Trust me these guys are pure magic (play mostly Tamil and Malayalam).

Also Masala Coffee’s cover 'Mumbe Vaa' went viral with around 33 million views on YouTube and created the path for them to shine on. With 300 performances in India and abroad and two film projects, this independent band has also been a part of ‘The Hindu November Fest.’
