Capella calls itself a restobar-kitchen-brewery-sky bar. This 90-seater is located on the 20th floor of AltAir, the city’s hottest new hangout in Sector 5. It offers the first pinches menu in the city — essentially mono-portions or small eats.
The menu offers a wide range of bite-size gourmet plated delights from liquid bowls and entrees to mains and desserts. Attached to the restaurant is the Capella Sky Bar — with panoramic views, it is the city’s newest party destination. Expect an in-house DJ, live gigs, a full bar and sumptuous cocktail snack options.
Western classics with a hint of Indian spices is what sets Capella apart. The buffet lunch starts at INR 750 {special promotion rate} and covers a wide variety of veg and non-veg items to pick from. An exotic salad bar sits right across from the insanely innovative dessert bar! My fave was the scallops and beetroot tikki infused with balsamic chutney. Remember to save space for the red wine-infused chocolate yumminess and the passion fruit panna cotta. The cost for two, including alcohol, is around INR 1,400.
The evening menu is all a-la-carte, with a lot of finger foods to share with friends and family. Do order the charcoal-covered mozzarella sticks. They serve shisha too. If you’re headed here post seven, be prepared for a more lounge-like atmosphere. With ample outdoor seating, a heated infinity pool and a jacuzzi this is where you would want to spend your evenings at.
