If It's Any Comfort, These Cafes Are Now Open And Welcoming Guests!

Want to step out to meet your closest buddy, whom you haven't seen in more than three months? Well, choose a safe space for the meet-up because these cafes are now open with extreme precautions, and are welcoming guests.

    Mrs. Magpie

    Mrs. Magpie

    Southern Avenue, Kolkata

Nothing better than sipping on a warm cup of hot chocolate on a rainy Kolkata evening, sitting by the windows of Mrs. Magpie. Yeah it sounds like a story book, but that's what we like so much about Southern Avenue's Magpie outlet. Unfortunately, for people staying on the other side, the Park Circus and Salt Lake outlets are not open. But the Southern Avenue outlet is, and it is also charging an amount to your bill for safety & hygiene.

    8th Day Cafe & Bakery

    8th Day Cafe & Bakery

    Southern Avenue, Kolkata

8th Day is open at both the locations, Mullick Bazar and Vivekananda Park. While we like Vivekananda Park for its outdoor seating area, just opposite the lush green cricket field of Vivekananda Park, the AJC Bose Road branch offers comfort with its neat and cosy interior. Whichever one you go to, a latte and a lot of converations would be a constant.

    The Royal Bengal Tiger Cafe

The Royal Bengal Tiger Café is the only tiger-themed café in town (which was not too hard to guess, from the name itself). This café is a result of owner of Pranab Chatterjee's passion for tigers. Apart from the frames on the walls, you will find a huge collection of books on the big cat here. Tis' also the season of monsoon, so nothing better than biting on fritters sitting in the outdoor area of the café.

    95 Degree Cafe & Bakery

Folks living in the Behala and Alipore area can drive down to 95 Degree Café & Bakery, located exactly in the same lane as Suruchi Sangha. This cosy 25-seater has an outdoor space as well. It can be quite rejuvenating to meet a close one and spend an hour or two over a cup of coffee.

    Paris Cafe

    Paris Cafe

    Ballygunge, Kolkata

This quaint French patisserie is an old favourite and quite the centre of post-college addas for students. Even though there might be no college or post-college adda for that matter, Paris Café's irresistible range of cupcakes, macaroons and pastries are enough to lure us there.
