What Is It?
Love the monsoon and a daily cup of evening tea? Head to Monsoon Chai Evenings – a spread of tiny nibbles inspired by different Indian cuisines served with a selection of delectable flavoured milk teas {you cannot miss the bishop’s weed one!}. Devour the Goan-inspired Chicken or Vegetable Vindaloo that comes in a homemade sourdough bun, indulge in the Mumbaikars’ favourite Vada Pav {the twist is that the vada is mixed with croutons and then deep-fried and topped with chutney and chilli} or drool over the Kolkata Beetroot Masala Tart filled with Ghughni. The showstopper is the wonton-inspired brie and mirchi pocket with a kick of chilli sambal – crunchy, light, packed with flavour – a party in your mouth.
Who Is It For?
For everyone who loves bags of flavour and loads of spices these spicy snacks will be right up your alley. Corporate meeting, bonding session with your buddy, quality time with the family – do it all over a cup of steaming hot tea.
Why Should I Go?
At only INR 499 inclusive of taxes, it’s a steal deal. The set menu is enough for two people – you’ll get a pot of tea of your choice and a selection of the snacks. What’s fun is there are two menus which are served on alternate days so if you have the first on one visit, you might get a different selection the next day.
Anything Else?
Bunk the khichadi and the hilsa festivals – this is the one-of-a-kind tribute to tea, snacks and our favourite season. The huge glass facade lets you watch the rain pour down while you snack on the seasons’ favourite munchies.
