Qtube Cafe in Bandra, that opened up to the public on October 10, is an initiative by Natural Streets Performing Arts {NSPA} which provides a platform for artists to perform for free – along with free coffee and WiFi.

What's It About?
NSPA has opened up its own cafe which also doubles up as a performance venue, which is supported by an asset management company, Quantum {which has been funding NSPA since its inception}. It’s a tiny space, enough to accommodate 25-30 people in one go – and is open to everyone and anyone – artists and guests alike. It’s simply a space for NSPA or Non-NSPA artists to come and chill or perform, and they get free WiFi and free coffee {yes, on the house}. The NSPA artists perform here every day, 4pm onwards, and if you’d like to book yourself a space, get in touch with their team and they’ll be happy to assist to you.
The cafe has tables and chairs lined right next to the wall, with every seat offering a plug-in point {for your laptops and mobiles}. The free WiFi is available until 4pm only before the live performance begin. We found instruments such as drums and a guitar lying in a corner – which by the way you can just pick up and play.
#LBBTip: Qtube only serves coffee, no food.
What We Love
A free space dedicated to artists with free WiFi and coffee – do we even need a reason? There’s no judgement attached here. Come, sip your cup of coffee and do your work, write, or just socialise. They have shelves full of books as well – all divided by theme. One book shelf caters to financial books, the second one to purely novels and comics, and the third one to encyclopedias, self-helps and more. We found P. Sainath’s Everybody Loves A Good Draught to Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s biography to short stories by Marquez – quite an extensive collection.
So help yourself to a quiet book reading session – or hit up the board games like Business, Jenga, Monopoly or even Scrabble. They even have two sets of chess games. Even the walls adorn quirky framed posters, from Pink Floyd’s doodle to artist Mario Miranda’s prints.
So, We're Saying...
A non-judgemental space dedicated to the artists in the heart of Bandra – kudos to the team for pulling it off. Ditch your regular Starbucks and Costa’s and stop by Qtube for a quick coffee – or come and support the NSPA artists and watch their performance.
