On Day 1, coming straight from America, this 14-member ensemble called The Mingus Big Band pays homage to composer and bassist Charles Mingus. Celebrating the legend’s centennial this year, the 2011 Grammy-winning band will bring all of his best works for you.
On Day 2, Monty Alexander, a Jamaican music legend who found his second home in America will combine jazz and storytelling to take you through his journey of meeting icons like Frank Sinatra, Ray Brown, Clint Eastwood, and more. He will be accompanied by his band members Luke Sellick, Joshua Thomas, Jason Brown, and Dennis Rollins.
Finally, on Day 3, up-and-coming German Jazz musician Johanna Iser is coming to India for the first time to join the Thilo Wolf Jazz Quartett with Louis Armstrong award-winning band leader Thilo Wolf and his bandmates Norbert Nagel, Christian Diener, and Jean Paul Höchstädter.
