Located in the busy streets of Borivali, Masala Mastee is a pure vegetarian casual dining restaurant. They serve North Indian, Fusion, Continental, Italian cuisines.
The ambience is done with dimply lit lamps, dark walls with contrasting vibrant furniture, giving it a modern yet dramatic feel.
What I ordered:
Mocktail/Soup:
Lychee Blue - Blend of lychee with blue curacao syrup in sparkling lime water. A little on the more sweeter side but a great pick if you love litchi.
Manchow Soup - A classic hot & spicy Indo-Chinese soup served along with crispy fried noodles. It had a very sharp garlic flavour but a perfect pick to start lunch during winters.
Starter:
Paneer Chilli Milli Sheekh Kebab - Paneer and bell peppers mashed and blended with spices and grilled on skewers, served along with schezwan sauce.
Vada Pav Fondue - An innovative way of vada pav fondue which consisted of crispy pav, potato wedges, and grilled veggies served along with a fondue of vada pav chutney. Not a typical vada pav flavour, but it is a dish for all desi-food lovers.
Main Course:
Indi Chini Sizzler - This was one of my favourites as I could eat a variety of dishes in one platter. Consisted of Veg Fried Rice(can also opt for noodles), Wedges, Sauteed Veggies, Schezwan Gravy, Dry Noodles, Kung Pao Potatoes.
Dessert:
Peru Chilli Nitro Icecream - Peru chilli ice cream is a blend of chilli powder with Peru icecream. I was overjoyed to watch my icecream being made live in front of me using liquid nitrogen, and icecream mixtures. It is served in a waffle bowl.
Summarizing, Masala Mastee is a great place to dine in if you love fusion food. It is a great place to host get-togethers and kitty parties. The staff is friendly and the ambience is apt.
