When In Pondicherry, Check Into This Boutique Hotel Which Is A 10-Minute Walk From Beach

Traveling to Pondicherry and looking for a boutique (and budget) hotel? Le Chateau located in White Town will serve your deed. And what’s not to love? It’s just a 10-minute walk from Rock Beach.

What keeps you hooked to a hotel? Is it a good service? Food or architecture? If you are looking for a bit of everything, Le Chateau might just fit your requirement. The architecture of the hotel is French-inspired and so are the bedrooms that come with a street view balcony that comes alive in the nights. The rooms are cosy and come in two kinds only — classic and superior. The difference between classic and superior isn’t much, but the superior one comes with a balcony so brownie points for it. There are only two connecting suites on the property, and they have balconies that you might have to climb up to (Think of Home Alone), but this one requires booking much in advance. We went ahead with a superior room that is largely defined by wooden furnishing and lofty glass doors that allow plenty of sunlight to stream in. Find yourself waking up to the chirping of birds and get pampered with cookies & chocolate and fruit baskets every day. All the rooms come with breakfast buffet, which has limited options but whatever’s on offer is good enough for several rounds. We personally loved our croissants, muffins, cheese sandwiches, and omelettes. 

The hotel crew helps you with directions, taxi services as well as bike rentals so you don’t have to go looking for them in different directions.

The hotel has a boutique downstairs with an interesting collection of dresses, tops and tunics, bags, and menswear that include shorts, shirts. While it has good in-house restaurants, its location is prime and is surrounded by cafes and eateries as well as boutiques.
