Located near Chaplin Cinema, behind the meat section of the New Market, it’s a tiny store that’s always full of bakeaholics. It claims to be “sasta bhi accha bhi’ and it is.

They have every baking ingredient you can think of – from the basics of cocoa powder, icing sugar, brown sugar, essence {not just vanilla, but strawberry, almond, rose, mango} to the less commonly found ingredients like rice crispies, cake butter and baking flour. What’s awesome is that the ingredients come for different price brackets – they have products from generic brands like cocoa powder that come in huge sacks that you can buy for much cheaper but you also get imported products from Hershey’s. Blue Bird, Hyacinth and Cadbury’s ingredients work well for the middle range.

They’re well stocked with baking and kitchenware too. There are a couple of other baking stores around Apna Stores, the most famous one is Babur Ali but go here if you want the best prices and most variety. With prices as low as INR 12 for a bottle of vanilla essence and INR 20 for a kilo of sugar, any one is set to become a baker.
