Abstraction is not easy to comprehend, neither in art nor in life. But what we can really do is, enjoy the beautiful time strolling by the abstract art which reflects a blend of elements derived from nature and paradoxes of life in the pure form abstracted from concrete details.
Aakriti Art Gallery's 'Four Abstractionist' is an event art lovers should not miss this. Curated by art historian and critic, Mrinal Ghosh, this exhibition will be featuring works by artists such as Bhopal-based Akhilesh, Rabindrabharati alumni Samindranath Majumdar and grads from the Government College of Arts, Calcutta - Sunil De and Amitava Dhar. The trend of abstraction of Amitava and Samindranath is vitalistic and attached to critical life while the forms of Sunil and Akhilesh have a trend towards classical and tranquil beauty, detached from pure geometrical mode and warmth of life-nature.
The more than a month long exhibition will showcase constant experimentation with abstract idioms that one will surely enjoy. They also have a little art corner at their gallery where one can find books, digital paintings and collectibles as a souvenir.
