Escaping to the hills and unwinding ourselves really doesn't need an excuse or too much planning, especially when we're moving in the same state. And Goomtee's tea resort provides the perfect environment and facilities for a short or long weekend trip. The best part about the resort is its proximity to both Darjeeling and Kurseong, which opens up a vast number of things to do and places to explore.
Of course no one is going to punish if we just sit quietly in the cosy and huge rooms, surrounded by verdant tea gardens. Then why not take it literally and stay here while you finish your day's job, only to relax afterward in the evening. Doesn't sound like too bad an idea, right?
Goomtee resort offers 24 hours of hot water availability, board games, fire place during winters, a rich library and even a ride on the UNESCO World Heritage Darjeeling Toy Train from Kurseong. The tariff for one night is INR 6,500 per night for single occupancy and INR 9,313 for double occupancy.
