You know that aroma of freshly baked bread when you pass a bakery early morning? Well, that might just be an everyday scene in Vaishali Ghegadmal's kitchen. A chef and college professor by profession and a baker by heart she always had a keen eye and interest in baking different types of bread. While her friends and family always loved her home-baked bread, she knew it was time to broaden her idea of providing quality bread into a full-fledged home bakery. Everyone, say hello to The Bread Weaver. Kickstarted in August 2020, the main motive of starting this bakery was to substitute the preservative-loaded bread available in the market with quality and healthy ones. She's of the opinion that bread should be locally made with basic ingredients including flour, sugar, yeast, salt, butter, etc.
Expect a range of speciality bread like Focaccia, Brioche, classic burger buns, herbed garlic bread and more. Apart from bread, they're also offering snacks and desserts options including quiches, cookies muffins, doughnuts etc. Now, what caught my attention was their bespoke collection of bread with tiger stripes. Yep. When you slice this loaf of bread, you can see how's she's creatively handcrafted the bread with striped patterns. And the loaf literally looks like a piece of cake.
Oh, and this one is an all-women bakery and she says she's lucky to have the most enthusiastic work buddy who's her 86-year-old mother-in-law. How cute.
