The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. And if you think that is overrated or an untrue concept, you haven’t met or heard about Natasha Noel. Our very own fitness homegirl is showing everyone how to run long distances with ease and panache that comes with motivation and regular training. Here are 5 awesome reasons for you to start running, so get ready to flaunt your summer body!

I don't have dreams, I have goals

SO THIS IS WHAT I'VE BEEN SUPER EXCITED ABOUT! In September, I ran 5 km at aambey valley (Nike lunar womens run) and met so many inspirational women who have run a lot more. This motivated me to push a little further than my capabilities. So here's my new goal. I'm going to run a 15 km by 1st of January. And I'm petrified!!!! 😑😖and excited but still nervous😂! Because now when Im running only 5 km, I'm dying so 15 seems a long short but I'm having the best guidance from coach Dan and my pacer buddy is @diyanayar so I know I'm in good hands. But that fear is there if I'm over achieving. Will I pull though? Let's see. I shall keep you updated on my fitness journey. Now it's yoga and running. Sounds familiar? Well, take a page out of Harvey Specter’s book and get inspired by Natasha’s goal. When she met long distance women runners a few months back, she set 15k as a running distance for herself. Knowing her own personal challenges, including previous injuries and lack of stamina, she set her goal and then went on to conquer it.  

#SquadGoals – Get a running buddy

So last Saturday was the first time I did a 9 kilometre run and it was only because of the joyful woman next to me. She made the run just so much more enjoyable and I didn't realse how the time flew. Running with a buddy is just so much more bearable because you're not thinking about the kms and how you're doing dying during the run. I'm so glad you're my running buddy; couldn't have asked for a better one. Also, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, SEXY! To never ending runs with you @diyanayar 💙💙💙💙😘 Cannot wait for Saturday's run. It’s always tough to achieve a goal single-handedly. Get fit together with a running buddy, who is there for your big achievements and momentary weaknesses. Soak in little doses of good vibes and spread happiness, but remind each other that you’re not alone in your journey.
