If you walk down Marine Drive and Chowpatty, you'll arrive at a small patch that once belonged to the Parsi community, but later was converted to a planned estate as a result of the great plague of 1896. While it currently is the most coveted real estate space in the city, there are some remnants of the past as old as the 12th century that are hidden away, below the hill.
Your meeting point is Cafe Ideal in Chowpatty on December 8. The duration of the heritage walk is 2.5 hours, and it will cost you INR 699 per person.
The highlights of the walk are many in number and range from things like 'heroes for the great war' to visiting a temple that is only open once a year! Calling it exciting is an understatement, and we can't wait to check it out ourselves!
