You've Gotta Try The Cheese Dabeli Sold At This Stall Near Matunga Station
Shortcut
Utterly, Butterly Delicious
The thing you must know about dabeli is its masala is made of at least 16 ingredients, and is the real winner here. First, two chutneys { garlic and sweet} are spread onto the pav, then a crispy potato filling with onion and lastly the dabeli masala which includes date chutney, oil, mirchi powder, garam masala. You’ve got to try it. There’s also a cheese dabeli available.
He gives you a version which is fried in Amul butter for INR 17 and a non-butter non-hot one {that you can heat up later with butter} for INR 14.
#LBBTip: If you are hating on potatoes for some reason, or would just prefer a Jain version, he can replace it with a fresh banana.
What Else?
Cannot miss having his cheese garlic pav. He skips the bhaji, and instead generously puts in a spicy garlic chutney inside a pav and some warm grated cheese. It’s the perfect snack to have at any point.
