What Makes It Awesome

It was through a friend's enthusiastic review of Roxanne's food that I stumbled upon The Tiny Taster. And being a fan of Parsi food, I wanted to know more. What emerged is that The Tiny Taster Take Away is nothing short of a labour of love. And here's why.

Roxanne or The Tiny Taster (Roxanne's Instagram handle) is a food writer and travel blogger who has been in the business for almost a decade. She also organises customised tours called the Tiny Taster Tours in interesting locations like South Africa and Morocco. Now, due to the pandemic, Roxanne found herself at home and during that time started cooking and sharing her recipes via Instagram and Youtube. Due to the insistence of a friend (honestly, most things start with our most determined friends and family's encouragement), she started taking orders and the catering business was born. Roxanne's goal is to share her passion for home-style Parsi fare along with her favourite dishes through her menu. Expect food unlike what you'd find at a regular Parsi restaurant. As someone who has eaten her own home food - Bengali cuisine - both at home and at restaurants, I can say it is true that often the flavours and experience of the dish is completely different.  All the food Roxanne makes is prepared to order and fresh, so she needs advance notice if you're placing an order.

Roxanne cooks food in her own style so you can expect her love for the individual dishes to really shine through in what she makes. While her biryanis have earned her a fair bit of popularity - both in chicken and mutton, she also cooks up other favourites like Prawn Patio, Chicken Salli, Mutton Dhanshak and more. Besides the Parsi fare, she also does some Thai options too.

Pro-Tip

Order 2-3 days in advance via Whatsapp so Roxanne has time to organise ingredients and cook and deliver your food fresh.
