Nighoj, known as the Moonland of Maharashtra, is a tiny village in Ahmednagar. A two-hour drive from Pune, Nighoj is about 75km away from the city if travelling via Ahmednagar. Famous for its potholes on the river Kukadi and the Malganga Temple {a beautiful temple located on the front side of the river Kukadi}, Nighoj is the perfect place for a one-day trip. These potholes, locally known as Ranjan Khaled, are believed to be the largest in Asia.
