Shoe Walk, just off Commercial Street, is out to help menfolk up their ethnic wear game with their big collection of desi footwear. Say hi to juttis and Kohlapuris.

What Makes It Awesome

Sure, the go-to footwear for most men is sneakers or formal shoes, and of course the infamous flip-flops that always get a disdainful look whenever worn outside home. Change all that and pick yourself a nice comfortable pair of juttis from Shoe Walk. The store’s collection of juttis, Kohlapuris, and mojris did have this Converse-only wearing writer wanting to pick a few pairs for himself.

Shoe Walk’s collection isn’t just limited to simple designs; there are funky ones that come with embellishments, beadwork, felt work, and plenty of bling. Designed for comfort, these Kohlapuris and juttis can be paired with any kind of outfit, be it for brunch or night out with the boys. Finding the shop is a bit tricky, even though Shoe Walk is located just at the entrance of Veerapillai Street, just off Commercial Street in the corner. Your marker is pairs of juttis, Kohlapuris, and mojris all hanging from the ceilings and neatly arranged. And an old uncle sitting on a chair and most likely to call out to you if you catch his eye.

The collection come in all shades of brown, black and blue. We spotted juttis in shades of white as well. Mojris come in grand designs, great for pairing with your sherwani. Simple designs that can be worn with shorts, jeans, or just about low-key family events come in shades of black and white. And all of this, starting at only INR 250. Don’t forget to bargain boss!
