Let's face it. We all need a Lady Whistledown (Bridgerton reference in case you're living under a rock) who would tell us EXACTLY what celebrities, influencers, founders, movers and shakers have in their little black book. We all want our lives to be a little more colourful, and who better to show us how than the co-founder of Chumbak! Meet the woman behind the company’s vibrant and exciting products, Shubhra Chadda. After speaking with her, we do believe we’ve gotten the 411 on how to live like a Forbes-listed entrepreneur. From Himalayan gin to virgin coconut oil, here are a few of Shubhra Chadda’s favourite things...
A Few Of Shubhra Chadda's Favourite Things
No. 3 Clive Road’s Chai
No.3 Clive Road's tea is luxurious hand-blended tea sourced locally and ethically. It's the perfect gift for those who love to indulge in a good cup of tea. Their curated or bespoke gift boxes will have you dazed! I personally love their masala chai. It's a go to for me in the mornings.
PHOOL Incense Sticks
Co-founded by Ankit Agarwal to clean the Ganga in Kanpur, PHOOL uses flowers from temples across India, and creates useful products such as Rose Incense Cones, PHOOL vermicompost, etc. Through this endeavor, around 11,060 metric tonnes of temple waste has been recycled instead of dumped. I love the philosophy of the brand and I absolutely recommend their Vetiver incense bundle.
Hapusa Gin
Gin has become the alcohol of choice especially being home and wanting to amuse myself with making drinks that make me feel fancy. Hapusa is one of my favourites. To me it's best drunk with just ice, and is a superb addition to a boozy cocktail evening.
Sadhev’s Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
I’ve always made an effort to use natural products on my skin, and this coconut oil by Sadhev is perfect for taking off makeup before bed, as well as super nourishing for the hair and body.
Cushions And Throws From Chumbak
My house is filled with throw cushions and blankets from Chumbak. They really brighten up a space and make any room come to life.
LunuGanga - Geoffrey Bawa Estate In Sri Lanka
I love the tropics, and Bawa’s architectural style is a favourite of mine. The way the interiors and exteriors come together on the estate, and the materials and textures featured on the property are really beautiful. The amount of greenery surrounding the area really feels like a piece of heaven.
Olio Stories
With a collection of unique chains, pendants, and earrings among other classic jewellery, Olio Stories is run by entrepreneur due Aashna Singh and Sneha Saksena. Add modern heirlooms to embrace your love for all things jewellery with Olio. My personal favourites are their Sun Earrings.
Amrita Sher-Gil Paintings
Sher-Gil's portraits and depiction of human bonds has always touched me, but more than art it's she and what she stands for that I admire the most. I think owning her art would be a constant reminder of the woman behind it, the times she lived in and the beliefs she backs. She represents the things I admire in a woman- being fierce, independent, and breaking barriers set by society in a way that is productive and attention grabbing.
