What Makes It Awesome

There’s just something about breezy, cotton shirts with summery prints, that makes us lose track of the balance in our bank accounts. If you relate to this even a little bit, Ekaat will become a wardrobe staple for you.

Ekaat is an Instagram store that does the coolest shirts in the prettiest, most colourful prints. It’s actually a menswear brand, but since it’s 2019, and we’re destroying the idea of gender-based clothing, I like to think of it as a brand that does unisex clothing. The shirts are priced at around INR 1,200, and can be customised as per your requirements.

If shirts aren’t something you like to sport, then you’ll be glad to know that they just introduced a collection of dresses (with pockets!), too which are priced starting INR 2,000. For both, the shirts and dresses, the prints range from ikat and kalamkari  to block prints, and adds a fun and colourful, ethnic-y touch to the look.

The best part is that everything they have is made-to-order, so expect none of that mass produced stuff that we’re used to seeing. They source the fabrics and get them printed all locally, which in turn empowers everyone involved in this beautiful supply chain. Which also means that they're open to customisations, if you have any specific additions to the designs in mind, like adjustments in length, sleeve lengths, extra pockets, etc, then they'd be happy to help

I purchased two shirts from their first collection, the quality of the cloth is really nice and soft, and makes for a perfect summer-day outfit. I've tried the dresses too, and they're super breathable and flowy, just the way I like them.

What Could Be Better

Right now, they only sell through their Instagram handle and on Shop on LBB. We'd love it if they had their own website.
