Tucked away behind the petrol pump on KG Marg, Anand has been serving the city with the best biryani for about 43 years now. While the ambiance isn’t the best in the world, try not to judge the book by its cover, because you’re going to fall in love with this place once you sample the goods. Unlike other places, the biryani at Anand isn’t orange and full of spices that don’t go well together. But, at the same time, the biryani is moist, and the spices are perfectly balanced. A very generous portion of rice is served with gravy, and, on the side, you’ll find the regulation onions and green chutney.

The place has been serving an office crowd for far too many years, and has a legacy of putting out the best biryani at the most affordable prices.
