Weddings to festivals, if there's one piece of clothing that fits right in, it's the beautiful six-yard fabric. Comfortable and easy to drape, Saris are the perfect embodiment of elegance, no two ways about it. We don't know if it was the festive season shopping frenzy or a coincidence that led us to this Mumbai-based label Nadiya Paar, but we're glad we found them.
Heavily inspired by the simple elements of nature and Indian handlooms, the founder of Nadiya Paar, Megha, effortlessly narrates the process of weaving rich fabrics through her designs. Each sari in their collection is muted and earthy - nothing too glitzy and yet manages to catch the right amount of attention it deserves.
Floral prints have been dominating our wardrobes for quite some time and there's no getting over them any time soon. Nadiya Paar's timeless "Tales From A Flower Stand" collection features hand-illustrated floral motifs printed digitally on translucent saris. Think vibrant roses, periwinkle, butterflies, birds and the likes, printed over handwoven linen saris. It's nearly impossible to single out one sari because they're all stunning, but our heart was set on the Bird Beige Sari with the Gold Satin Blouse printed with birds and butterflies.
Their Winds Of Time collection is inspired by the Mukaish work and comes in gorgeous shades of dusty pink, mustard, teal and more. Not just the saris, Nadiya Paar's refined blouses are worth buying as well. Hand crochet, silk noodle strap, satin - these blouses rightfully complement the saris. These exquisite saris start at INR 12,000 and can be ordered via Instagram.
