Remember Swami and friends from Malgudi Days by RK Narayan? Malgudi Station, located on Baner Road, takes you down the memory lane with its quirky Malgudi Days posters and South Indian food.
The place serves complimentary Mysore 'Pa', a ghee-laden halwa-type sweet which is a softer version of Mysore Pak. We tried the chef's recommendation which was the bisi bele bhat and Chikmagalur coffee. While the rice had the southern goodness of ghee and spices, the coffee was perfectly strong and frothy.
We hear that the owners are from the Chickmanglore area and have specially curated flavours for incorporating in their menu. The decor was simple and had lots of Malgudi days posters.
If you wanna relive those good old days, you know where to head!
