Let's just say Dilli Haat has my heart. I also feel like an idiot for paying twice the price at other places for Dhurries, but at least I've learnt. And now, at least you'll save some money.
A mecca for all things local, artisanal and #makeinindia, Dilli Haat is one of the most underrated places to shop for home decor. Though their collections/vendors change all the time, 'tis the season for all things winter- and if you go to Dilli Haat right now, you'll find a plethora of local businesses selling everything from scarves to cashmere things, and my Achilles heel- these goddamn dhurries.
You'll find a BUNCH of stalls selling carpets and dhurries so I'd highly recommend walking around and bargaining your ass off, looking out for the best deals. Dhurries start at INR 2-3k and go up to INR 20k at most. The trick is to bargain hard and explore your options.
