Calling all movie fanatics out there. We bring to you a complete lowdown on the best of Rajkumar Rao movies that we're totally crushing! He's one of the finest actors we’ve seen of late; no wonder he has been cast in award winning films like Newton & Trapped, both of which were nominated on multiple occasions and bagged plenty many awards at the Filmfare. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, we're sure you know Chalaang is the new release he's cast in and it's all the rage. The trailer’s out on Amazon Prime Video and the movie is releasing on November 13. Yes, we're super chuffed and can’t wait to see Rajkumar Rao & Nushrat Bharucha take the stage to cheer us up through our Diwali weekend.
From what we've heard, it's centered around the life of Montu (Rajkumar), a physical education trainer who works at a semi-government funded school in North India. His journey takes a sad turn which puts his beloved Neelu (Nushrat) at risk, along with everything else that he holds dear, forcing him to take up teaching for a living. Chalaang will leave you inspired as it communicates the value of sports education as part of school curriculum in a way that's sure to tickle your funny bones.
If you're someone who ODs on thrillers and lives for drama, we highly recommend you watch Trapped as well on one of your Prime binge sessions! Not only does it capture Rajkumar Rao's top notch acting ability, but it depicts well one’s struggle to survive, against all odds.
Newton is another must-watch we recommend, as it brilliantly picks at seemingly controversial issues in an even-toned manner with a real good storyline. The lockdown's getting to us and we absolutely love the idea of spending cozy weekends enveloped in movie sessions!
