Run For Life, a non-profit organisation that aims to create awareness about the benefits of running long distances among the youth is organising a second edition of the Winter Delhi Half Marathon. They’ve got races under different categories, like 21 Km, 10 Km and 5 Km for all those between the age of 12 to 45 years.
New Year Resolution To Exercise More? Kick-Start 2018 With This Half Marathon
What Is It?
Who Is It For?
Always wanted to run a half-marathon? Want your 2018 to start on an ambitiously fit note? Challenge yourself to be your most active self in the coming year; and start by signing up for this marathon.
Why Should I Go For It?
Other than the fact that this marathon will give you a legit reason to get out of bed and start running, running a half marathon is something pretty awesome to tick off our bucket list.
If you’ve already run a half-marathon, there’s no harm in running another one and getting fitter, is there? The prize money that top three position holders from each category can win is also decent enough {1st -INR 5,000 and a bicycle, 2nd – INR 3,000 and 3rd – INR 1,100 along with trophies and certificates} but honestly, it’s the experience and the run that really matters.
The registration fee also includes a timing chip for the half marathon, T-shirt for all participants, finisher medals, a bag and as a bonus, a hot breakfast! Now that everything from medals to even breakfast’s taken care of, there’s only the training that you need to worry about.
Anything Else?
Take your friends along too, because 21 Km goes by a whole lot faster if you have people going the distance with you.
Jan 1 is the last date to register, and since the marathon’s on Jan 14th, you’ll still have some time to start training.
When: 14 Jan; 5.30pm
Where: Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium
Registration Fee: INR 425 {5km} and INR 808 {21km and 10km}. Register here.
