We all know about Riyasat and it's Royal dining. Riyasat is all about Royality and Royal dining. Riyasat is a story woven through royal celebrations inspired from the stately homes of the royal families of the 19th Centrury. The whole place is decorated in a very pretty way along with ancient artifacts.
Coming to the food, they have re-incarnated some of the ancient dishes from the 19th century. They have a huge number of dishes to choose from.
We had
• Murg Malai Majithia- This was a preparation of tandoor roasted chicken with cheese and tossed with various spices which provides various kinds of aromas. The main element of this dish was coriander root, a speciality of Majithia Punjab.
• Fish Kairi- Tandoor roasted fish, rubbed with preserved green mangoes- carom seeds. Presented in a very beautiful form.
• Shabdegh Dal Makhaani- Dal makhaani is one of my favorite dish which goes best with any kind of Indian breads. The way they make it, it becomes two times more tasty.
• Ambada Aloo Roast- Baby potatoes were roasted in pot, pickled with roselle leaves. The taste was no doubt great, the potatoes were soft and had a smokey flavour.
• Patiala Tawa Murgh- This was a preparation of griddled roasted chicken which was pickled ginger-onion, mixed with coriander roots and yogurt, along with some spices. You can feel the flavours of the spices in it.
• Bhetki Zamin Doz- The bhetki fillet was marinated with Nigella seeds, ginger, Gondhoraj lime and chillies. It was then wrapped in a parchment paper and then was made by the pit-baked technique.
• Assorted Indian breads and Green Peas Cumin Pulao
• Sondesh Puff(Nolen Gurer)- We wait for winter for a number of things, one of them is to get the taste of Nolen gur. Nolen gurer is mostly applied in deserts, sweets and ice-creams mainly. Team Riyasat made the best use of this Nolen gur in making the sondesh puff special. The puff was soft, and you can literally feel the flavours of Nolen gur in it.
Coming to the ambience and service, the place is perfectly decorated with beautiful artifacts, and the interior is really large. The ambience has a different glow in it. Their hospitality was no doubt great. Everyone were highly professional, polite and humble.
