What Makes It Awesome

We all have that one blank wall that we keep meaning to do up, but don't, right? A blank space that just begs for a dash of colour, a hint of personality or pretty wall art to jazz it up. If this sounds familiar, then you need to check out this artist who is making quirky, colourful and crafty home decor pieces for your home.

Ruchika starting crafting and art as a way to express herself and her creativity way back in 2017 but over time, she started creating art not just for herself but also for other people. She started with gift hampers (hence the name Baksa) and in time, this personal project bloomed into a business. Baksa By Ruchika, is all about personalisation. She works with clients and their budget to come up with gifts that are unique and fit their budget. Browsing through her collection, I found myself definitely bookmarking a few pieces like The Tree of Life, Rainbow Hanging, Evil Eye and World Map. New home owners (or those who want to add some customisation to their bedroom door, because why not!), Baksa also does nameplates with string art that I really liked.

Prices start at INR 500 and go up to INR 6,000 for a fully custom, commissioned piece. The price depends on the complexity, design and size of the work. Expect to shell out INR 1650 and up for one of the wall hangings. Ruchika also conducts workshops on String Art where you can learn a few basic designs to even create your own art.

So if you've got some gifting to do (or just want to gift yourself something cool), you can hit them up for something unique, handmade and customised.
