Sea Green Hotel has a possibility of getting lost amidst all the old buildings you see while driving down Marine Drive. You’re usually at a loss for words when you see the torrid waves crash against the barriers. These imposing yet comforting structures give the beachfront a character that defines the Bombay of old.
As with Sea Green, its pistachio green colour and Hotel Sea Green’s font aren’t very hard to miss. Also, it’s strategically located right next to Pizza By The Bay. We decided to have the Sobo experience for a day and walked into this iconic hotel. With 36 spacious air-conditioned rooms along with an unrivalled location, Sea Green Hotel is probably one of the ideal places to stay in Mumbai. We picked the Sea View Deluxe Balcony Room which had a view of the Queen’s necklace and looked spectacular during the day and even better at night. The hotel has four categorized rooms= The Deluxe Balcony Room, the Sea View Deluxe Balcony Room, the Queen’s Necklace Suite, and the Superior Sea View Double Occupancy.
The rooms here have free wireless internet, a mini fridge and even an electronic safe; it was equipped with all the basic needs (even a large and clean bathroom), such a great comfort in a city like Mumbai. By evening, when the lights started to change, we stood out, cameras in hand, to capture that elusive sunset. Needless to say, it was as magical as we expected it to be.
Single occupancy starts at INR 4,900, while double occupancy starts at INR 5,400. Sea Green doesn’t have its own kitchen, but has several menu cards that connect you all the restaurants nearby, including Pizza By The Bay, Kamling, Shiv Sagar, etc. And the best bit is that they deliver directly to your room.
