Ever looked at exquisite artsy jewellery and wondered how it's all made? At the Quirksmith studio in Sarjapur, you can watch the magic unfold! The online jewellery brand has set up their flagship store and studio to be a low-key experience centre of sorts. With bright wall art on the exterior that can be spotted from the main road, and a cafe by the entrance, its the perfect setting to spend a few hours. The entire process from the designing and sampling to the making and packing of the jewellery happens here. Just ask founder Divya to take you on a tour and she will.
The ground floor display pieces are available for sale—smaller stuff like nose pins and brooches, as well as more elaborate pieces. Upstairs is where you’ll find the karigars. Twisting fine florals into statement earrings, polishing petals and leaves into various finishes and linking the finest pieces of silver together to make a delicate necklace, anklet or other elements of Quirksmith’s characteristic jewellery pieces. Feel free to watch the packaging and designing process as well if it’s happening when you visit.
Everything that’s available online is also available at the store. That being said, if you’re lucky, you can get your hands on last and single pieces (that were part of sampling or experimental designs), which you won’t get anywhere else
