What Makes It Awesome?

We were invited to another mind-blowing event. This time it was at the Farzi Cafe in Connaught Place. We met many of our familiar faces and we got down to business. We ordered our drinks 'Bottle ka Gin' which came in a wonderful Eiffel Tower shaped glass and was a really nice opening to the evening. We also ordered 'Chai Pani' which was an amazing cocktail with Dry ice smoke it was an amazing experience. After that, we quickly started with food because we couldn't wait.

They served these great palate cleansers made of Mishti Doi which was on a bed of Liquid Nitrogen, totally wowed us. We also tried the 'Chuski Margarita'. Which also had a gola in it. Which I think was a delicious twist. Then came the starters 'Beetroot & Cream cheese Skewers', 'Barley and dahi bada chaat', 'Hass avocado chaat' and the 'Dhokla and the shredded chicken'. We think these were wonderful takes on food. The avocado chaat was like Guacamole with a twist and the Dhokla was an inspired fusion mix on Gujju food with chicken.

In the main course, The 'Shepu mutton ghotala' was especially liked by us along with the 'Salli nu chicken' and the 'Bhindi Gosht'.

All through this while, the drinks were flowing and the 'Three Musketeers' whiskey drink kept us going through the food experience. Then with a little space left, we tried to deserts and for us, the 'Malai mawa bun' was the star, followed by the 'Green apple mithai' and the 'Sheera Kheer Brule'. Farzi has always been known to put a delicious Twist on regular Street and Main Course food of different Indian cuisines. And they delivered just that in this new summer menu of theirs. This is total thumbs up from us and a must-try for this coming season.

What Could Be Better?

Since the foods are fusion experiments, some did not hit the right notes. However, we appreciate the enthusiasm and spirit.
