Alfresco in Taj Krishna is a classic favourite when it comes to best candlelight dinners in Hyderabad. The outdoor seating is by a pool and you can request a table-for-two right next to it. With a dance floor scene right next to the pool and sedate music that can be heard in the background, this restaurant is perfect for a slow dance or two. Don’t expect bae to gush over the food as it’s just alright, but the drinks and the service pretty much make up for it. We love the outdoors as it has the view of Hussain Sagar, but mosquitoes can be a menace during the Monsoon. The restaurant has a Chinese menu, and they whip delicious Chicken Majestic and fried rice. So, if you are looking for a simple meal but want to score on views and ambience, this is your go-to. Plus, it’s budget-friendly too!

The specialty Italian restaurant at The Westin is perfect if you'd like a candle light dinner by the poolside, complete with some gourmet Italian food. We think the Hyatt's Gachibowli property is a hidden gem in the city at present. Aside from their celebrated poolside restaurant Mrs. Mage, we love the romantic setting at Collage, their multi-cuisine restaurant with both outdoor and indoor seating. The outdoor seating here is awesome and nestled among greenery. They have a couple of tables away from the restaurant, in the greenery, if you'd like some privacy during your candle light dinner.

This one's a new do-over in financial district with everything much better — ambience, food, and the whole vibe. It's a much bigger space with white and gold interiors and large streams in the middle of the restaurant offering a relaxing babble. With soft sitaar music in the background, you get to feast on delicious Mughlai food and call it a night.

We think you should call dining in a cave romantic. Let Gufa, a restaurant set up like a cave with mashaals and dim lighting, convince you, as it did us. Every meal is a candlelight special here and the food is just amazing. It's also one of the oldest restaurants in the city that still pulls in a large crowd, and that says a lot. Coming to food, we believe North Indian and Mughlai cuisine can never go wrong and pair that with good cocktails and mocktails and it's a great time.
