Head To This Beach Resort In Pondi To Start Your 2018 On A Peaceful Note

If you are not the party type and looking for a relaxing vacation, Le Pondy is the place to kickstart your 2018 with. I went to Pondi with a list of things to check off like any other traveller but I actually ended up being at the resort most of the time.

The property is huge and located just south of Pondicherry, in a very serene and quiet area. We had our private pool in the villa we chose to stay in and private access to the Paradise beach, which was extremely clean to my surprise. If you are a beach bum and that's all you care about on a vacation, this is the perfect place.

Food can be very disappointing if you like to stay loyal to your dal and paneer. The fish curry with appams was really good though. Access to the beach is only until 6pm which was the biggest disappointment.

Drive down from Chennai for some of the most scenic views. Book in advance to get a good deal. We booked at the last moment when all good places were sold out and ended up paying double the amount for this.

Carry enough chips and drinks along 'cause the closest wine shop is 4-5 km away and not the best place to witness.
