Vasundhara Vee

One half of jazz duo Adil and Vasundhara, she teaches vocals, techniques and performance, where technique refers to voice building, and performance to how you sing genres and work with rhythm. She specializes in Jazz, Blues, RnB and soul, but given the same rules apply to vocals at large, she’s happy to work with different genres as well. Pranai Gurung

An erstwhile Silk Route member {2007}, Pranai conceptualized and set up Blue Notes School of Music the same year. The school teaches guitar, drums, bass guitar, violin, vocals, piano and keyboard. Although Pranai is most known for his command over the guitar, the school at large focuses on classical, blues, latin, jazz and contemporary.

Manoj Mavely

India’s first drummer to be awarded a $28,000 scholarship to study at the world renowned Berklee College of Music, Boston, he teaches the drums in Afro-Cuban, Jazz, Funk, Rock and Brazilian styles. Given his versatility and knowledge, he can take on everything from jazz to pop to speed metal. He is highly regarded for his unique concepts in developing the ‘drummer’s mind’ through advanced reading skills, styles, groove, odd meters, ostinatos, cross-rhythms and techniques, which have challenged over 1500 students over the last 18 years. Rohit Gupta

A born and bred Dilliwaala, Rohit formalized his musical training at the Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music. Currently, he is one of the youngest pianist/keyboardists in the city and specializes in elements like Jazz, Afro-Cuban, Funk and Classical.

Sonic Shorey

He teaches bass and intermediate guitar, and Konnakol {the art of orally reciting rhythms in South Indian music}, and his curriculum incorporates Western Classical harmony with Karnatak traditional rhythms. Another product of Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music, Chennai, and a front runner in Manoj Mavely’s illustrious list of students, he enjoys a less structured, relaxed and more flexible approach to training {Read: no strict timings}.

Reuben Narain

A drummer for 18 years, Reuben comes with an illustrious list of qualifications. He started with local teachers in the city, graduated to The Collective, New York City, and finished with Berklee College of Music, Boston. Shivam Khare

A pianist for the last 25 years, he spent a majority of his music life teaching himself the instrument. Later on, he formalized his education at Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music. Predominantly a jazz pianist, he also teaches contemporary and western classical styles, and takes classes on music theory and harmony as well. Although he runs his own school, and is a faculty member at two others, he’s available for private home tuitions {your home}, in select areas.

Jayant Manchanda

You’ve been probably seen him at live gigs all around town; he plays with a variety of bands. Considering how active he is on the music scene, he’ll be able to give you great insight into the independent music scene in Delhi. He teaches bass, but also helps his students explore and appreciate a range of music styles, from jazz and blues to rock and Latin American. If you have any specific needs, just relay them to him and he’ll go out of his way to incorporate them into your education.

Aditya Balani

A former student of the Berklee School of Music, and co-founder of the Global Music Institute in Delhi, he’s known for his skill with the guitar.
