Nayalap is a Uttarakhand-based community that offers an experiential stay in Ranikhet and also has an online retail space for handcrafted products straight from the Kumaon region. They started out with the objectives of cultural preservation and providing employment opportunities for the locals. And soon expanded into the online market with functional decor and accessories made purely out of natural elements.
Right from bamboo kitchen accessories to functional decor, everything you see here is handmade by local craftsmen of the Kumaon region using traditional designs and techniques. Nayalap has stunning bamboo storage baskets that are multipurpose in nature. Some come with lids, others with side handles. You can use them for storing books or magazines, hand towels, jewellery, toiletries and even as gift boxes.
For your dining tables, the brand's got fruit baskets in different shapes and designs. All equally spacious and rustic in appearance. We're soon going to get rid of those plastic lampshades and replace them with Nayalap's Bamboo ones instead. They currently have two ceiling lamps - cylindrical and spherical. Both of these come with a 6-month warranty so that's good. As long you're keeping them away from water, these bamboo products will last you a long time.
