What Makes It Awesome

Nineteen78 is a 48 seater multi-cuisine restaurant in Select Citywalk, Saket that offers European, Asian, Italian, and coastal cuisines from Vietnam and Sri Lanka. The owner of the restaurant is an architect and interior designer, Neha Gupta, who started her journey as a restauranteur with Beyond Designs Bistro. The interiors are very well done. The style feels very retro, but done in a modern and minimal manner. The geometrical ceiling lights give a soft light to the space, creating a comfortable ambience.

We liked their bamboo shoot chilly cottage cheese for starters, it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and had a perfect blend of texture and flavours. The pull-apart garlic bread is another winner in our eyes, the cheese was as stringy as they show in commercials when you pull the bread apart.

Go for their Asian noodle basket if you like food that tastes very authentic and only mildly spiced, but if you’re like us, and love a kick of citrus and spice, then you'd like to know that their olive oil and cherry tomato spinach ravioli, and arrabbiata pasta made a cut to our ‘order again’ list. The drinks menu is pretty straightforward, with a good mix of cocktails, wines, soft beverages, and more. We did however feel that the selection of mocktails was rather limited.

In their menu, you’ll find a section called ‘Millennial Friendly Food’, which is perfect for that one friend who doesn’t like to experiment with their order. In that, you’ll find all-time favourite items that you know you’ll like - lasagna, different kinds of pasta, mezze platter, fried rice, fish fingers, etc. To complete your meal either have their apple crumble pie that comes with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or have their heavenly Tiramisu.

A shoutout to their service and hospitality. The servers are well versed with the menu, so, if you're confused about what to order just go with what they recommend. Overall, if you're at the mall then you should consider coming here for a meal at least once!
