Made In Sikkim
Lagstal, which started off in Gangtok, aims to bring traditional crafts out of Sikkim to all of India. They work with contemporary designs, but always keep the Sikkimese touch intact.
All of the items are hand-woven and handmade by craftsmen from Sikkim. We’ve been told the craft reflects the traditional art of basket weaving by Lepcha and Nepali communities in Sikkim.
All of the items at Lagstal are crafted out of bamboo, which are then coated with mustard oil for natural shine and moisture-protection for long-lasting effect.
What We Love
The bamboo chandeliers, the artsy bamboo butterflies, and wooden furniture {for this, they take special orders}. You can find wall decor that has been inspired by the simple and colourful culture of Sikkim, and is carved with gem stones like coral, jade, and even pearl.
