What Makes It Awesome

Guppy has always been one of those fail-safe options for sushi and sake in the city. I made my way back to Guppy after a long hiatus and am happy to report that the food and service are still excellent.

We ordered the salmon roll and tuna roll in black rice {healthier option!}, eel sushi {not my cuppa tea, but my friend loved his food}, and a starter of raw tuna, with avocado and radish.

For drinks, I highly recommend going for whatever's on their wine offers menu. Our server, Hera, recommended a Syrah, which was exactly what a 40 degree temperature calls for.

Another good drink off of their menu is the Daisy {pomegranate, lime, vodka}, and there's another with kaffir lime and vodka, which is tarty but dynamite.

What Could Be Better?

I think Guppy ticks all the boxes for a casual night out, over sushi and wine. Nothing I would change.

What's My Pro Tip?

There's A LOT on their menu including udon noodle bowls and their famous black cod. I've honestly only had their sushi, so not entirely sure about the rest.

Anything Else?

Their servers are awesome! And give good recommendations. So incase you're unsure of what to get/skip, I'd trust their opinion.
