The information in this post might be outdated

Each year, India Design ID brings forward a curated selection of the best in design. From global brands showcasing at ID Exhibit to design gurus sharing their visions at ID Symposium, it’s a week that inspires and brings together the fraternity with an aim to increase the business of design. From new trends in kitchens, furniture and lighting to interactive, never-before-seen showcases – there’s so just much to take in.

We asked Aashti Bhartia, Vice Chairperson Ogaan Media Pvt. Ltd to give us her rundown of the 6 things everyone should look forward to at the India Design ID this year.

Designer & Brand Collaborations At ID Exhibit

“Last year, furnishings designer Peter D’Ascoli collaborated with interiors brand Apartment 9 and Rooshad Shroff designed a Ltd. Ed. Collection of lights for Atmosphere. This year, Kohelika Kohli designs a wooden pavilion for Artius and graphic designer Divya Thakur gives a new spin to the Park Cafe. Plus, there’ll be many more collaborations at the decoration and design pavilions – look out for them!”

Hefty Line-up Of Speakers At ID Symposium

“Drop in for a window into what’s happening in design around the world. From Ross Lovegrove and Ron Arad to Sabyasachi Mukherjee and Susanne Khan, the lineup includes well-known names that are known for pushing boundaries in their respective fields.”

The Asian Paint’s Colour Next Launch

“New colour trends for 2018 and the Colour of the Year – the Asian Paints Pavilion and their cafe is always a fun, innovative space. I am eager to see the colour trends for the year and re-imagine my walls. Stop by and see what works for you.”

ID Interiors & Styling Services

“New this year, the ID Interiors booth is our stylish check-in space and design advisory for anyone who wants a guide to the fair. Meet our senior stylists and designers here and work your way around the show.”

The Art Lounge

“Located outside the ID Symposium and curated by Roshini Vadehra, works from three of Delhi’s best galleries – Vadehra Art Gallery, Nature Morte and Gallery Espace will be showcased at the Art Lounge where design and art complement each other in a live space. The place will serve as a coffee lounge from 10 am to 11 am every morning, and transform into a cocktail bar from 5 pm to 7 pm in the evening.”

The Outside Spaces – The Young Designers & Food Pop-ups

“In an expansion to ID Exhibit, the walk up to the fair from Gate 3 has a line of pagodas displaying – young brands and designer installations pop up at various corners. There will also be many coffee and food stops, with a White Rhino beer cafe on the grassy mound for when you need to wind down.”
