I fall in love with almost every pet store I see online but I fell for We Exist a little extra hard because of their story. Through their store, they’re aiming to bring to light a serious issue in India; the ignorance towards indie breeds we see especially on the streets, all through adorable bandanas, beds, toys, bowls and more.
I picked up The Curious Monkey toy for my dog that’s made of canvas, jute and filled with coconut fibre. The face was a tad rough but my dog loved pulling on the rope limbs (she’s a little violent.) I also got a printed quilt for her, made from flannel and cotton. It wasn’t too heavy, which I liked since she likes to sleep buried deep into the blanket. The bowls also looked nice and sturdy but my dog likes to be fed by hand so I didn’t have a need for it.
Every time you purchase from We Exist, a portion of the sale goes towards helping street dogs and improving their living conditions as well as educating the community about the indigenous dog breeds of our country. All the products are also produced in small batches so they’re more ethical and also better for the environment. Pet-friendly and eco-friendly? Two of my favourite things!
