What Makes It Awesome?

Lost Recipes was suggested by my Allahabadi friend who had tried their menu and asked me to try once. So I had visited this outlet yesterday with some of my close friends and was amazed by their food.

They have a cute ambience with a decent seating capacity both downstairs and upstairs. Downstairs, they have a seating area outside. The ambience is simple yet classy. There are some games too to play and chill. Also, they have cute props to decor the place.

What I loved was their food. I tried the below items and each one was just amazing by its authentic taste.

Kulhad Chai - Being a tea lover, I can strongly recommend this chai. It was hot and served on a traditional kulhad. You can feel the taste with just a sip and would surely not miss this if you are here.

Normal and Meetha Golgappa - We had 2 types of Golgappa, meet and a normal one.

Normal Golgappes were stuffed with mashed potatoes and served along with teekha and meetha pani.

The meetha golgappa was served with meetha chutney on it and also some curd.

Both the dishes were worth trying. Both had retained their individual's flavours and tasted amazing.

Potato Wheels: A perfect appetizer during high tea time. It was crisp and a nice complimentary with tea.

Fara: It was fried dumpling based made both from rice and bajra and served individually. Both were superb snacks especially the rice one.

Special Banarasi Mix Fruit Lassi - It was churned curd served with garnished cut fruit pieces on the top. It was sweet and tasted good. Each fruit contributed its flavour and enhanced the dish.

Coconut Flavour Lassi - It had grinded pieces of coconut mixed with lassi. Also, it contained dry fruits which added more flavour.

Then we had authentic Banarasi Veg thali and Non-Veg Thali.

Both the rice had ghee flavoured jeera rice and phulka roti in common. The rice was cooked well and the essence of ghee came out perfectly.
Both of them took my heart away by their presentation and taste.

The Chicken curry was homelily cooked and had an authentic Banarasi flavour in it. It reminded me of the Chicken I had in my visit to Varanasi.

The Veg thali had many dishes on it like Litti, Dal Baati, Pakode Curry, Sukhi Sabji, Paneer Curry, Daal with Rice and Roti. It was scrumptious and can fill your tummy to the fullest. A perfect thali with all the necessary ingredients and taste.

Despite such a heavy meal, we kept a little space in our tummies for dessert. It is an inseparable part of every meal. In dessert, we had GulabJamun and Laung Latta. Both were delicious.

I would strongly recommend this place for both appetizers and a heavy meal. Their taste and hospitality are amazing.
