Want your home to look like it’s telling a story, with designs from around the world, and craftsmanship that makes each of your furniture pieces and decor unique? Chairs & Company should be your go-to brand then. Started by the lovely Deena Rodrigues, the name intrigued us. Of course it’s meant to be that all you need is a comfortable chair and good company - either friends, a book or even a steaming coffee. And reflecting that, you’ll find everything you need here, to make your house a home. From velvet sofas, and antique chairs to wood carved statues and intricately painted ceramics, you’ll find it all here. Don’t go expecting run-of-the-mill as here you’ll sometimes find no two things are the same. The furniture here is genuinely rare and decor pieces (like a lovely wood-carved Garuda, I spotted) are real collectibles. There’s plenty of colour here for those looking to add that to their home. I saw Moulin's single seater chairs that are comfortable, and elegant - perfect to sit on and reminisce about the past, fondly.
Looking to light up your life? Shop statement lights - both vintage and modern in various designs, styles and finishes. You can add a vintage chandelier to a living room for that touch of grandeur or pick up cosy bed-side lamps for mood lighting. Check out the beds, book shelves, lounge chairs and frames and mirrors to accessorise your room with too. They currently have curated WFH set-ups, that have a study table, chair, shelves and a potted plant to boot. So, for those who don’t know much about designing your space, Chairs & Company will help you out.
While the store is like Aladdin’s cave and you’ll find plenty of treasures, I love how it doesn't stick to a specific style. Just go ahead, pick what catches your eye, and mix and match. Deena in fact is all for that, and will urge you to select pieces that suit your personality and home. Nothing else matters she once told me, and there has been no better advice. It’s your home, make it truly yours!
