While looking for good pizzerias, I happened to stumble upon Avista. Located in Sahakarnagar, this pizzeria takes you straight to the streets of Italy with its beautiful ambience. I went there with my friends and we ordered the following: Any good meal starts with a soup, so we ordered the cream of mushroom soup and the roasted tomato soup. The cream of mushroom soup had a real depth of flavour and I loved the rich consistency of it. The tomato soup was tangy and vibrant, awakening your palate. In the appetisers, I liked the salsa Formaggi which consisted of bread topped with balsamic vinegar, salsa and baked with cheese. The Bruschetta roasted was a bit bland for me though, I felt that it needed more seasoning. The mushroom caps were heavenly. It was served with a cream sauce that brought out the natural umami flavour of mushrooms. My friends who tried non-veg really loved the fish and chips, dynamite prawns and the BBQ chicken wings. I was told that the fish and prawn were tender and seasoned perfectly. In the mains, I tried the cottage cheese pizza which was delicious and my friends tried the chicken meatball pizza and I got a similar response stating that it was delicious as well. The kinds of pasta there are nice too, we tried the spaghetti Pomodoro Classic, fettuccine cream sauce chicken pasta and the penne in a pink sauce. In burgers, my friends loved their peri peri chicken burger. I felt my beet balls burger was too sweet though. To finish it off, we ordered the scrumptious pecan pie. The shortcrust pastry was flaky and tasted of butter, the pecan filling was crunchy and sweetened perfectly. It paired really well with the vanilla ice cream. Service was quick and the staff are very friendly and courteous. They enquire if the food is as per your liking or not, which I quite liked.
