DP's Laboratory is an online brand that makes uber cool miniature toys, e-bots, figurines and more. Kickstarted by Durga Prasad, an electronics engineer and a toy-enthusiast himself, this brand is a toy collector's paradise.
By sourcing electronic waste from local vendors at Moore market and Ritchie street, DP's Laboratory gives them a new life as upcycled miniature toys. One of their first products was a paperweight and today they sell merch like fridge magnets, key chains, mini electronic bots and generators that have light bulbs attached to them. We loved their bookmarks and were surprised to know that they were made from old computer RAM. Apart from being an entirely zero-waste brand, they are also pocket-friendly, for, their bots are priced at as low as INR 120. What started as an attempt to create awareness about E-waste has now grown into a full-fledged toy startup. Amazing, no?
DP's Laboratory plans to become a proper toy store, making all their products from e-waste. Their customers are predominantly millennials who love to collect toys and use them to decorate their car interiors, shelves and cupboards. They also offer size customisation for all their products and will be happy to get your inputs for creating the best toys for you.
