Duende is a Spanish word which translates to mean the mysterious power of art to deeply move a person. Duende is a contemporary dance theatre performance that comprises 3 powerful acts. White Noise which deals with mental illness; Depaysement which deals with the sense of displacement at being a refugee from a war torn country; and Her Story that talks about growing up a girl and women whose contributions have been largely ignored in history. Duende also features a very special performance by the SansNom Ensemble (Students of KM Conservatory) - directed by Lijo K Jose.
